We will be going to Amani Baby Cottage, located in Jinja, Uganda, on May 10th, 2010, and staying there for one month.
Amani Baby Cottage is an orphanage that houses 60 babies, 0-5 years old. Children are referred to them through the local authorities and the social welfare system. Many are orphaned when their parents die due to AIDS, birth complications or other factors.
To date, a total of 203 children have been cared for at Amani Baby Cottage, and many of those have been adopted.
Amani Baby Cottage operates by faith in a loving, heavenly Father who has promised to take up the cause of the orphan.
We are SO excited for this opportunity to meet these children and love them like Jesus.
